Domes 4.0 are the domes for Phonak and Unitron hearing aids. The domes come in four different versions: Cap Dome for narrow ear canals, an open version, a closed version and power domes with double membrane.
All three types of domes come in 6, 8 and 10 mm in diameter, respectively.
Replacement of the domes ensures optimal sound quality and prevents eczema and discomfort in the ear canal. Domes should be replaced at least every 4 weeks, or as needed.

The open dome is equipped with ventilation holes throughout the dome and therefore gives a very open feeling. You thereby avoid occlusion and at the same time experience an open feeling in the ear canal. Open domes are best for mild hearing loss, as the sound is brighter and less intense than the other types.
The closed domes provide a more intense sound experience. It amplifies the sound and is therefore ideal for people with moderate to severe hearing loss. To provide air to the ear canal, the closed domes are also equipped with small air holes.
The power domes provide the most intense sound experience and enhance the bass sound. The power dome is ideal for heavy hearing loss as it amplifies the sound even more than the closed dome.
