Sport Lock

Starkey Sports Locks

Starkey Sports Locks are small plastic retention locks that attach to the end of a Starkey SnapFit receiver wire. Their primary function is to loop around inside your ear to help keep the hearing aid stable and prevent it from falling out during movement or exercise.

Compatibility and use

These sports locks work with all Starkey SnapFit receiver speakers, including SnapFit 2.0 models, making them suitable across a wide range of Starkey hearing aids. Each pack commonly contains 10 locks.

To fit a sports lock:

  • Slide the lock into the small gap or slot on the receiver speaker
  • Insert the hearing aid into your ear as usual, allowing the lock to loop into the concha
  • Adjust so it sits comfortably without pinching

If a lock becomes brittle or hard, replace it to maintain comfort and secure fit.

Benefits

If you lead an active lifestyle or frequently use your hearing aids during movement, Starkey Sports Locks reduce anxiety about your device slipping out. They provide an extra layer of security without altering the acoustic performance of your hearing aid. Because they loop around your ear’s concha rather than pressing tight into the canal, most users don’t experience added pressure or discomfort. The design is discreet: once inserted, these locks are minimally visible. They act as a safeguard against sweat, moisture, and dirt from undermining the fit by slightly cushioning the receiver’s position.
