Pin removal tool for Phonak receivers

The pin removal tool is a small service tool designed to make receiver replacement easier on compatible receivers.

On hearing aids that use a retaining pin to secure the receiver connection, the tool is used to carefully push the pin outward so the receiver can be disconnected from the hearing aid. Once the replacement receiver has been inserted correctly, the tool can also be used to push the retaining pin back into place and lock the receiver securely.

Using the correct tool makes it easier to release and secure the pin without using improvised objects that could damage the hearing aid housing.

How the pin removal tool is used

1. Locate the receiver locking pin on the hearing aid.
2. Use the narrow end of the tool to carefully push the pin outward.
3. Gently pull the receiver straight away from the hearing aid.
4. Insert the replacement receiver correctly into the hearing aid.
5. Push the retaining pin back into position to secure the receiver.

Do not twist the receiver when removing it, as twisting can damage the receiver wires.
